Mr. James E. Mooneyham, known also as "Nub" or "Sonny" by family & friends. Passed away on Nov. 22, 2011, at the age of 66, after an extended illness. Mr. Mooneyham was a native of Cannon County, born on Sept. 6, 1945. He was a tree surgeon with the former Duck River Electric. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ray Mooneyham and his mother and step-father, Roberta (Thomas) & I. C. Haley. He leaves behind three children and ten grandchildren; daughter, Cindy & Michael Layne and grandson, Collin Blake Rose; daughter, Jennifer Hernandez and grandchildren, Shayla, Iasiah, Christian and Miracle Hernandez; son, Kenneth Ray, Sr. & Christina Mooneyham and grandchildren, Loren, Kenneth Ray, Jr., Devin, Brenden and Kyleigh Mooneyham all of Murfreesboro. Also survived by sisters, Patricia Walls of Smithville and Deborah (Ronnie) Pelham of Woodbury; brother, Glenn Hoyte & Judy Mooneyham of Woodbury; eight nieces and two nephews. Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at 1 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. T. B. Gentry officiated. Interment was in Center Hill Cemetery.
