Mr. Timothy Berry "Tim" Nichols, 55, of Woodbury died on October 28, 2012. He was born on November 14, 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil Nichols and Bobbie Lee (Gannon) Nichols. He is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Anna Nichols of Woodbury; two sons, Josh & Amy Nichols of Woodbury, T. J. & Brandi Nichols of Manchester; a brother, Billy & Melba Nichols of Woodbury; a sister, Judy & Robbin Pitts of Walter Hill; grandchildren, Laura Beth, Lane, Hannah Jo, Alden, Jolen, Kailin, Brady and Lasten; also, two special aunts, Irene Gannon and Christine Gannon. Mr. Nichols was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. He worked for 20 years with TDOT as Supervisor for Cannon County. He was an active member of the Cannon County Walking Horse Association for over 30 years and had served on the Board for the last several years. The Association was his passion and he helped to raise money for the purchase of land for its members. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home from 4-'til....on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 1 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. James McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Garden. Active pallbearers will be Dale Witty, Jeremy Moulder, Mason Moulder, Charlie Jo Nichols, David Holbrook and Billy Joe Fann; honorary pallbearers will be the Employees of TDOT of Cannon County. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cannon County Walking Horse Association by contacting Smith Funeral Home (615)563-5337.
