December 5, 1930 — May 29, 2013

Mr. Jack Hollandsworth, 82, of Woodbury died May 29, 2013. He was born December 5, 1930 in Cannon County, TN. His parents were the late Edd Hollandsworth and Mai (Stone) Hollandsworth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (Dutton) Hollandsworth and his brother, James E. "Jabo" Hollandsworth. Mr. Hollandsworth was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ. Mr. Hollandsworth's wife died when his sons were young and he raised them himself. He was a retired truck driver for TCT. He also owned and operated a landscaping/nursery business, Florida Tropicals, in Nashville for a number of years. Mr. Hollandsworth was a member of the Teamsters Local 480. People knew him to be an honest and hard working man. He was very independent, loved to work around the house and fix things himself. Putting out a garden was something he enjoyed doing and he planned to do it again this year. He gave his niece some advice once, "you'll finish if you don't quit". That was how he lived his life.
