  Mr. Dwayne Johnson, 54, of Woodbury passed away on July 25, 2014. He was born on May 17, 1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana. His parents were the late Paul Johnson and Joyce Faye Brummett Johnson. He is also preceded in death by two sons, Jeffery Johnson and Dwayne Johnson, Jr., a granddaughter, Jordan Johnson and his grandmother who raised him, Sybil Brummett. He is survived by his wife of over thirty years, Donna Johnson of Woodbury; sons, Jeremy & Kathy Johnson of Woodbury and Criss Davis; four grandchildren, Dillon Howell, Nevaeh Miller, Dawson Miller and Jaria Johnson; two step-grandchildren, Katelyn Bucey and Christina Bucey; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a close friend and co-worker, David Lindeman. Mr. Johnson spent some of his early life growing up in Woodbury. He later moved to Indiana with his parents. Dwayne’s mother died when he was thirteen. His grandmother helped raise him from that time forward. He met and married his high school sweetheart Donna while in Indiana. They stayed together through thick and thin. Dwayne always held fond memories of Woodbury. He decided to move back with his family in the early 90’s. He and Donna owned and operated Johnson’s Painting. He also drove a tractor trailer for a few years. Dwayne enjoyed vegetable gardening, flower gardening and keeping his lawn neat. His family and friends said he had a green thumb. He also loved to have cookouts at home. He loved to keep everybody laughing with jokes and pulling pranks. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 3-8 PM. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11 AM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be in Riverside Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to assist with funeral expenses. Contact Smith Funeral Home to make a donation.
