Mr. Larry Edward Milligan, 66, of Woodbury passed away on September 11, 2017. He was born on November 22, 1950 in Woodbury, TN. His parents were the late Milton “Brown” Milligan and Alma Marie Warren Milligan. He is survived by his wife, Diana Milligan; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer & Stephen Blonder of Bradyville; brother, Frank Wayne Milligan; several aunts, uncles, and many cousins, close friends, and neighbors. Larry graduated from Woodbury Central High School in the Class of 1968. Shortly after graduation he was drafted into the Air Force. He served during Vietnam and was stationed at different places, including Missouri, where he and Diana met. They recently celebrated 45 years of marriage. He worked a lot of different places through the years like Bill Trail Motors, Woodbury Post Office, Randy Vance’s car lot, and at the VA Hospital in Murfreesboro. He was never one to sit around. He stayed busy with many DIY projects, crafts and building things, like lamps, picture frames, and walking sticks. He also liked working with flowers, landscaping, and building fish ponds. He enjoyed going fishing when he had a chance too. Any time he and Diana could they would go to Land Between the Lakes. Being outdoors and one with nature was his favorite pass-time. He was a member of the Leoni Church of Christ. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be Friday, September 15, 2017 in the Smith Funeral Home chapel at 11 am. Bro. Norman Pelham will officiate. The US Military Honor Guard will be there to present funeral Honors. Interment will be in Leoni Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are requested to the American Cancer Society.
