On Thursday, April 3, 2025, after 64 short years, David Allen Gariepy left this world behind. David was born June 18, 1960 in Tacoma, Washington. As a child Dave got to live a life filled with the adventure of travel and lived in places that most of us only dream about. As an adult, he served this country in the armed forces and received an honorable discharge from the Air Force. Dave then went on to work in many rewarding career fields. Ranging anywhere from small appliance repair to working as a janitor at Walmart. In his free time, Dave enjoyed activities that would challenge him. He was always up for a stimulating game of chess or a few fun filled rounds of trivia. Dave was always in the mood to listen to some classic rock music. He enjoyed picking on his guitar when his hands would allow and loved going for a ride on his motorcycle in his younger days.
Dave is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Doyle; his father, Gary Gariepy; and his fur babies Buddy, Jackson, and Harley.
Dave is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Adams Gariepy; his four daughters, Amy Robinson (Derrik McMillan), Jenny Robinson, Myra Adams (Thomas George), and Raeann Heartman; his furry four legged son, Demon aka Kitty; grandkids, Dara Spain, Destiny (Angelo) Gallione, Joshua Spain, Alliah (Tony) Glenn, Kayla (Robbie) Dixon, Alexis (Brittany) Laye, and Auralia Robinson; and thirteen great grandkids. Although Dave may not have expressed or even showed it very often, he loved deeply and, above all else, his wife. She was everything to him and the one person who was never far from his mind, heart, or head.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 10, 2025, from 10-11 am. Memorial services to follow in the Gentry-Smith Funeral Home chapel at 11 am. Tim Gentry will officiate. Interment will be in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Nashville, TN at 1 pm. The Air Force Honor Guard will conduct funeral honors.
