Olive Elizabeth Peasley-Polzin

September 20, 2023 — September 20, 2023

Olive Elizabeth Peasley-Polzin sprouted her wings on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. She was born to her loving parents Ethaniel Peasley and Zoe Polzin and shared in their embrace as she was called on to the arms of Jesus.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Everleigh Polzin; grandparents, Destiny Peasley, Justin Polzin, and Victoria Cole; uncle, Levi Peasley; aunts, Emerey Polzin and Honor Cole; great grandparents, Cathy and Ken Hill, Sandy and Greg Smith, Nancy Peasley, Christian Polzin, Phyllis Baker, and Kim Walker; and several other extended family members.

Olive came in at 8.75 inches and 168 grams, or just shy of 6 oz. Though she was small, she already made a huge impact and left a lasting mark in the hearts of her family. Even in the womb, Olive started to show some personality. For instance, she might be the reigning champ in the family for a game of "quiet mouse."

It was only a few weeks ago that Ethaniel and Zoe got the exciting news that they were pregnant. The family was working on coordinating a gender reveal party to shower the family in love and support. Everyone was looking forward to meeting sweet Miss Olive, and Ethaniel, Zoe, and Everleigh were looking forward to becoming a family of 4.

At 9 months old, Everleigh is just starting to stand up, and she had her legs pumping to be sure that she got Ethaniel and Zoe well broken in before Olive came along. She was well on her way to paving the way for Olive, and speaking of paving the way, Kali, the German Shepherd/Greyhound mix, was definitely excited to do zoomies through the house with her gaggle of girls.

Everleigh had plans of sharing the couch or the floor with Olive to watch her favorite shows, Bluey and Grey's Anatomy. She and her parents hoped that she would share her infectious happiness with Olive to have a home filled with smiles and giggles, except at nap and bedtime of course.

That activity and the desire to not miss a thing seems to hold true for the entire Peasley/Polzin family. They are always moving and on the go. Zoe's pet grooming introduced them to all kinds of excitement, and she hoped to share her love of animals and eye for detail with Olive. Ethaniel hoped to fill all his girls' lives with beauty through his work at the flower shop, while his skills in supply chain management kept the ball rolling for a life of fulfilled needs and plenty of fun. Grampa Polzin couldn’t wait for the tea parties, and G Ma Peasley was so excited for the nature walks, teaching Olive about flowers.

Most of all, it was the little things that Ethaniel and Zoe looked forward to cherishing. The playtime, the sleepy snuggles, the family dinners, all the day-in and day-out mundane things that are often taken for granted are now what ache their hearts the most. For 5 months, Olive was a part of their lives, and her impact will keep her in the hearts of her family.

The family will hold private services at Delbridge Cemetery. Hunter Hendricks will officiate.
